Changing the underlying map type
By default the map opens with a street map, to ensure the app can be more easily understood when out in the field, the option to switch to a topographical one is provided.
The following steps demonstrate how to do this:
Step 1
Tap on the map settings button, as indicated in the screenshot.
Step 2
Tap on the ‘Terrain’ option under ‘Map Layer’.
Then tap the close button in the top right to close the settings menu.
Step 3
The map will be updated with the map type you selected.
